PRAISE means to express warm approval or admiration of something good. It may be in the form of teacher praising a student who is doing good in academics, a department head giving a very good job performance review to a worker or staff or expressing one’s respect and gratitude towards (a deity), especially in song / prayer form.
It indicates the expression of approval or admiration for someone or something done right, at right time and which helped the process or system in a way. It is also used to express happiness or relief that something did or did not happen. A heartfelt thanks.
In the spiritual domain Believers experience the presence of God which may result in limitless favour. It raises the level of encouragement, healing, deliverance, peace, joy, provision, faith. The Purpose of PRAISE here is to glorify (a god or saint) especially by the attribution of perfections.
Remember the process of praising, and the most important reasons to praise God include the fact that HE is worthy and takes pleasure in our praise. It represents our deep admiration in the qualities and the attributes of the Higher Energy.
